Wincher STANDS Developed to handle tough lighting problems with maximum safety, the Black Magic stand is a winch-based, geared lifting stand capable of lifting loads up to 440 lbs to a maximum height just under 20’. Yet the geared mechanism prevents any roll-back, even if the operator should let go. This stand is truly engineered for the highest stress and hardest working situations. By turning the comfortable dual-handle the payload can be smoothly raised (or lowered) safely to any height in its range. Every detail of the Black Magic is designed for safety. There are four safety devices including two locking teeth applied to the main cog wheels and two automatic clutches which control and keep the load stable during descent. Four leveling legs with safety pins keep the tower plumb. The Black Magic is designed to reduce the amount of required maintenance, and to make any maintenance as simple as possible. Each collar has an inspection window which can also be used to apply lubrication. The stand is assembled with bolts making ordinary maintenance and component replacement quick and easy.
